- Title:
- Watercolours of birds, fish and shells, attributed to Bruno Tozzi
- Scope & Content:
- Watercolours and pencil drawings of birds, fish and shells, probably by the hand of Italian botanist and abbot Bruno Tozzi (1656-1743). The drawings are all executed directly on the folios of the album and several watermarks are visible. The name of each animal is inscribed in pen and ink in Italian and in English. The watercolours are similar in style and technique to those in Sloane MS 4010, which have been attributed with greater certainty to Bruno Tozzi.
