This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish commentary, without the author identified, on Hamdullah İbn-i Hayreddin's ᶜumdat al-ᶜirfān fī waṣf ḥurūf al-Qur’ān (عمدة العرعان في وصف حروف القرآن), a metrical work written in 948 AH (1541-42 CE) on the letters prefixed to some sureler. The original text of the Ottoman Turkish commentary was completed in 951 AH (1544-45 CE).
The titled given above is in white letters on a gold medallion on the first folio and, in addition, it mentions that Hamdullah was that Hatıp at Aya Sofya Camii.
The text contains a single unvan and considerable damp staining along the margins.
This manuscript was likely copied in the mid-16th century CE.

Two different types of ownership stamps are found in the manuscript: one completely effaced (f 130r); and four stamps of the same type, largely illegible, in blue ink, on ff 1r and 130r, with the words "min kütübü'l-fakir" and "Mehmet".
An inscription on f 1r identifies this as being in the possession of Şeyh Mehmet Emin Hacı, İmam-i Cami-i Hazret Halit (?), and dated (12?)53 AH (1837-38 CE).
