This volume contains a dictionary of the Arabic language with explanations partly in Arabic and partly in an Ottoman Turkish that is so courtly it often requires explanation in Arabic as well.
The work is divided into eighty-four chapters, each devoted to a letter vocalized with one of the three harekat.
The author gives his name in the preface as Şeyh Ali İbn-i Nusrat İbn-i Davut who, according to Brockelmann, was the author of an Arabic-Persian dictionary in 843 AH (1439-40 CE). The Ottoman Turkish version contained in this volume was likely made from that dictionary.
This manuscript was likely copied in the late 16th or early 17th centuries CE.
