- Information About Copies:
- A copy of this work is described in Karatay II, pp. 373-74 under the title Tercüme-i Şamail-i Nebeviye. It is there said to be the translation of the Shamā’il by Ahmet İbn-i Hayreddin el-Aydini (died 1120 AH/1708-09 CE) mentioned in Haj. Khal. IV, p. 72. However, as this copy is clearly a translation of a commentary and not the original work, the attribution to Ahmet İbn-i Hayreddin of the Topkapı Sarayı manuscript cannot be accepted.
