This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish translation of the compendium of medicine abridged from the Qānūn of Ibn Sīnāby Abu’l-Ḥasan ᶜalā al-Dīn ᶜalī bin Abi’l-Ḥazm al-Qurashī, better known as Ibn al-Nafīs (died 687 AH/1288-89 CE). The translation was completed by Süruri Mustafa Efendi (Muslihiddin).
Süruri mentions that the translation was done at the suggestion of a physician in the service of Prince Mustafa, son of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. It contains a table of contents (ff 3r-6r).
This manuscript was copied by İbrahim İbn-i Osman between 963 AH (1555-56 CE) and 964 AH (1556-57 CE).
