Imprint: Kyōto, Takemura Shinbē, Yoshida Shirōemon, Taniguchi Shichizaemon, Tanaka Shōbē, Jōkyō 5, 1688. Kanki on page following fol. 19b of maki 20 reads: 貞享五戊辰五月吉日板行 ／ 京書肆 ／ 武村新兵衛 ／ 吉田四郎右衛門 ／ 谷口七左衛門 ／ 田中庄兵衛.
Description: 20 kan, formerly in 10 satsu, rebound in 2 vols. western style. 27.4 x 18.9 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 23.5-24 x 17.5 cm. Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin.
Large hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana (main text of Tsurezuregusa 徒然草, centre-page), interspersed with extracts from commentaries in smaller hiragana-majiri and with variant opinions, biographical and other references in katakana-majiri, mostly printed as headnotes. Variable no. of lines to page and characters to line.
All original covers missing, but original printed title slips have been preserved, pasted on blank sheets at head of each former satsu. Gedai: 徒然草諸抄大成 + satsu no. Title from naidai. Hashiragaki: Tsurezure taisei 徒然大成 + maki no. + folio no. In a modern western style half-leather binding.
Edition: The only recorded pre-modern edition.
Contents: Text of Kenkō's Tsurezuregusa accompanied by a compendium of textual comments drawn from 13 earlier commentaries, ranging from Tsurezuregusa Jumyōin-shō 徒然草壽命院抄 to Tsurezuregusa sankō 徒然草參考, with added opinions by the compiler in the form of headnotes.
