Blockprint. Printing frame 19 x 14.4 cm. (average). Single-line borders. Single fishtail design on hanshin.
Hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana. 11 lines to page, 22-25 characters to line.
Original light blue front cover of maki 1 only, with original printed title slip. Gedai in gyōsho / sōsho: 嚴嶋道芝記 御嶋廻. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Hashiragaki: Itsukushimaki 嚴嶋記 + maki no. (4-7) + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding.
Edition: The only recorded blockprinted edition. This was the earliest work to be published at Hiroshima.
Contents: The earliest known local history and topography of Itsukushima (Miyajima 宮島). The work opens with a history and description of the shrine. This is lacking from the present copy, which begins with the section O-shimameguri 御嶋廻, indicating that this copy comprises maki 4-7 only.
