Imprint: [Edo] , Shōkai Sanshirō, Genroku 11, 1698. Kanki on last folio of satsu 3 reads: 元禄十一歳戊寅二月朔旦 / 長谷川町 / 御書肆松會三四郎板.
Description: 13 kan, 3 satsu (originally published in 13 satsu), in a box. (Satsu 1) ff. 3 (hanrei), 22, 17, 17, 18, 18; (satsu 2) ff. 20, 26, 23, 18; (satsu 3) ff. 19, 30, 27, 26. 22.3 x 15.6 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 17.5 x 14.3 cm. (average). No borders. No fishtail design on hanshin.
Hiragana-majiri text, with printed furigana and dakuten. 12 lines to page, 22-24 characters to line.
Original mid-blue covers, with original printed title slips on left. Form of gedai (mixture of kanji and kana) differs in all 3 satsu. Gedai of satsu 1: つほの碑上. No general naidai, only of each component work. No hashiragaki except abbreviated title of component works + folio no.
Edition: The only pre-modern edition of this work.
Contents: A collection of 8 anonymous works of advice and instruction for women on etiquette and moral conduct. Titles of individual works are listed in Kokusho sōmokuroku 国書総目録.

Illustrations: A total of 30 single- and double-page sumizuri illustrations, distributed as follows: (satsu 1) 7 single, 7 double; (satsu 2) 6 single, 8 double; (satsu 3) 4 single, 8 double. Also a number of smaller in-text sumizuri sketches in satsu 3. Artist not named, but illustrations are attributed to Ishikawa Ryūsen 石川流宣.
