Faziletname-yi Ali
- Scope & Content:

This volume contains a poem on the life and virtues of İmam Ali and his family, sometimes referred to as Faziletname-yi Ali. It was written in 925 AH (1519 CE) by Derviş Mehmet Hafızoğlu called Yemini, whose father was a native of Samarqand. The work has been associated with Hurufi writings by Browne, despite his admission that its content tends more towards Shi'i understandings of İmam Ali, while Birge has associated it more closely with the Bektaşi tradition.
The poem is divided into 20 sections each called 'fazilet' and ends on f 184r. There are two tables of contents, the second of which is a more modern addition.
After the Faziletname, there are several shorter mesneviler as follows:
ff 184r-186r : Beyan-i menkabet-i penc keşti, güft-i Şeyhoğlu ez keramet-i Hazret-i Şah-i merdan ;
ff 186v-188r : Manzume-yi Mihrname-yi Caferi ve mucizat-i Hazret-i Peygamberi ;
ff 188v-191r : Fazilet-i Hazret-i Şah, consisting of a series of poems primarily by Nesimi, but also including the poetry of Hatai (Khaṭā’ī/Xətai), Seyfullah, and Virani Baba ;
ff 191v-192r : Fazilet-i Şah-i Basrevi, in prose ;
ff 192v-195v : Güfte-yi nazm-i seher-ebdal, kaside-yi helva ve nun.
Two gazeller of Ruhi have been added on the end-papers.
This manuscript was copied in 1192 AH (1778-79 CE).
