This edition was preceded by an undated Gozan-ban consisting of only 20 kan, without the supplement of Bao Yu 包瑜.
Contents: An encyclopedic work (leishu 類書), listing kanji under rhymes and tones, serving both as a dictionary and as a source for rhyming poetical composition. Chinese title: Yunfu qunyu 韻府群玉.
