- This volume contains a commentary on Sūrat Yā-Sīn (Sūrah 36) by the Şeyh-ül-İslâm Esat Efendi (died 1166 AH/1753 CE), who, according to a note on the first folio, was buried at Çarşembe near Sultan Selim Camii. The same note is dated 1230 AH (1814-15 CE), which is approximately the date of the manuscript.
