This volume contains an anthology of Ottoman Turkish poetry, each folio of which is handsomely decorated, in most cases with floral designs in gold with the larger leaves and flowers coloured red or blue.
On f 2v, there is a fine unvan with a drawing of a dragon in combat with a phoenix. On f 1v, a Qur'anic text is written in gold.
The majority of the poets whose work is represented in this anthology, such as Baki, flourished in the 16th century CE, but some, such as Nadiri, lived on well into the 17th century CE. The date of the manuscript is therefore likely at some point in the 17th century CE. The text was clearly copied by various hands.
