This volume contains a collection of 40 Aḥādīth, each Tradition being followed by an Ottoman Turkish translation and commentary as well as an account of the life and virtues of the Companion who related it from the Prophet Muhammad صلعم. The work was compiled in 1115 AH (1703-04 CE) and dedicated to Sultan Ahmet III by Abdullah İbn-i Mehmet İbn-i Şaban, also known as Şabanzade (died 1124/1712-13 CE).
The text contains an illuminated unvan on f 2v and an illuminated colophon at f 113r.
This manuscript was copied by Seyit Abdullah Maruf-i Edirnevi in 1157 AH (1744-45 CE).
