Şifa-yi kulub - شفاء قلوب
- Scope & Content:
-
This volume contains a treatise on the basics of Sunni doctrine and Hanafi jurisprudence (i.e. ilm-i hal), and on ethics, divided into 93 sections, although the opening of the 93rd is not marked. The name of the author is not given, but it appears not unlikely that this manuscript is the holograph, the copyist being one Mustafa İbn-i Ahmet. The addition to the text made in the margin of f 11v is in the same hand as that of the main text.
The text itself is preceded by a table of contents (ff 2v-5r) and a description of the scope of the work (ff 5r-v). Other contents include religious formulae in Arabic (f 146v).
The text includes an unvan in plain gilt arabesque on f 6v.
The colophon is found on f 145v, in which the name of the copyist is given as Mustafa İbn-i Ahmet and the date of completion is stated as 13 Cemaziülahir 1168 AH (27 March 1755 CE). The date 1168 AH is also provided on f 5v.
