Author/compiler: Ō no Yasumaro 太安萬侶, compiler of original text from oral traditions, early 8th century. Revised and annotated by Deguchi Nobuyoshi 出口延佳, also known as Watarai Nobuyoshi 度會延佳, 1615-90.
Imprint: N.p., Jōkyō 4, 1687. Batsu on last two folios following maki 下 ends: 貞享四年二月二十九日 ／ 豊受皇太神宮權祢宜正四位下度會神主延佳, followed by square printed seal of Watarai Nobuyoshi.
Description: 3 kan, formerly in 3 satsu, now rebound in 1 vol. western style. (Maki 上) ff. 5 (序), 56; (maki 中) ff. 2 (maki 中跋), 65; (maki 下) ff. 42, [2] (maki 下跋). 27 x 19 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 23.6 x 15.5 cm. (average). Single-line borders round main text. Thinner single-line borders framing headnotes. Single fishtail design on hanshin.
Text in kanji (mana 真名) with printed kunten and kutōten. 8 lines to page, 17 characters to line.
Original mid-blue front cover of maki 上 only, with original printed gedai: 延佳神主校正 (角書) 鼇頭古事記. Naidai at head of each maki: Kojiki 古事記. Hashiragaki: 古事記巻上 (中, 下) + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding.
Edition: The only edition published with this title, representing a revised version of the edition of Kojiki published in Kan'ei 21 寛永二十一年, 1644.
Contents: Text of the Kojiki 古事記, with textual emendations and notes by Deguchi Nobuyoshi in the form of headnotes in upper margins. Dated okugaki from the Shinpukuji 眞福寺本 manuscript of Kojiki (14th century) are reprinted in the batsu of maki 中 and 下, indicating the text on which this edition is largely based.
