The undated volume contains copies (in two different hands) of two works describing the island of Ezo, modern Hokkaidō, and its inhabitants, the Ainu.
Ezo-shi (folios 1-15) was originally written by Arai Hakuseki 新井白石. Preface signed Arai Kinmi 新井君美 [=Hakuseki] and dated Kyōhō 5 [1720].
Bound with Ezo dōchūki 蝦夷道中記 (folios 17-75) written by Tateno Zuigen 館野瑞元. The latter text is also known as Ezo kikō 蝦夷紀行.
