- Scope & Content:
- An album of 29 drawings, various sizes, some on tinted paper, in water-colour over pencil, laid down in random order. Most are dated, the earliest being January1871 and the latest June 1874, and all but four are signed with the initials HH. The drawings are of views in Kathiawar State, which would suggest the artist was in the Political Service, at this period appointed from the Bombay Army. No officer has been traced with these initials however, although it is possible they may belong to a family member of either Captain G.E. Hancock, RE, Assistant Political Agent, Kathiawar or Lieutenant J.
