Sir Terence Rattigan’s first draft typescript screenplay for a film version of his play The Deep Blue Sea, presented to his physician, Dr William Buky.
The script consists of 148 typed pages, written on one side only. It is bound in a red paper cover, with the title typed and attached on a blue label. The cover is marked 'Ethel Christian Limited, Typewriting, Shorthand & Duplicates'. On the title page is written 'For private circulation only' in pencil. The scenes are numbered in pencil.
