- One of Hakham Ezra Reuben Dangoor's Notebooks, containing four items: [1] Communal / charity accounts: folios 1b – 16b (the account on 5a is dated to the year 5662 = 1901/2; on 9a & 10a, to Iyyar 5661 = 1901; on 15 & 16, to Tammuz 5661); [2] Draft of Genesis section of Hakham Dangoor's Hebrew commentary on the Pentateuch. (He entitled the final version of this commentary עדי זהב = ‘Adi Zahav = Golden Ornament. This draft contains material not included in the final version. He incorporated some of his marginal notes made here into the main text of the final version.): folios 17b – 115b; [3] Draft of Hakham Dangoor's Judeo-Arabic translation of the entire biblical book of Genesis and the beginning of biblical book of Exodus (through 12:20, mid Pericope Bo), with many emendations: folios 116a – 144a; & [4] More communal / charity accounts: folios 145a – 147a (running from back to front: 147a – 145a).

- Red soft leather covers, a bend-back brass paper fastener at the end of each cover (front and back), and leather loops and catches for closing (one missing). Writing surface: paper. Outer dimensions: approximately 210 mm x 140 mm. Writing area: items [1] & [4] = communal / charity accounts, variable; item [2] = Hebrew commentary on Genesis, and item [3] = Judeo-Arabic translation of Genesis and beginning of Exodus, approximately 185 – 190 mm x 105 – 110 mm, with headers and foliation in upper margin, some catchwords in lower margin, marginal and interlinear glosses.
