This handbook is by Hakham Ezra Reuben Dangoor, who, in the Baghdad Jewish community, gave instruction on kosher slaughter.

This fragment begins at the end of the section on ‘Pressing’, the second of the five acts that disqualify slaughter, and includes the sections on ‘Dragging beyond the prescribed area’ (folio 1r), 'Burrowing’ (folios 1r and 2r), and ‘Uprooting’ (folio 2r-v). Then it presents the procedure of slaughter (folios 2v – 3r), the procedure of covering the blood (folios 3r-v), and it ends with the rules of the checking of the knife (folio 4r-v).
