Ahmadzhan Madaminov (1926–2008) was the researcher at Kokand Literature Museum and gathered this collection. It consists of manuscripts that represent Kokand's literary works of the nineteenth century. It helps to study Kokand's literature environment.
Custodial history: Collection contains the manuscripts from the personal library of Dr. Ahmadzhan Madaminov (1926–2008). In 1962–1998 he worked as a researcher at the Kokand Literature Museum. Throuhout his life he collected the manuscripts from people he met. Some of them he got hrom his relatives.
Arrangement: Kokand Literary Museum had received and classified Ahmadjon Madaminov's collection after his death.
Origin of manuscripts: The manuscripts are assumed to have been written somewhere in the Central Asian region. Future research may enable the geographical origin of these manuscripts to be more accurately located.
