Brief treatise introducing from the Qādirī Ṣūfī perspective the four realms of existence (nāsūt, jabarūt, lāhūt, and huvīyat) by the Timurid or Mughal prince, Sulṭān Muḥammad Dārā Shukūh (d. 1069/1658), who calls himself here Dārā Shukūh Qādirī Ḥanafī.

The work was completed on the eve of Friday, 8 Rajab 1055/30 August 1645.

The treatise consists of four sections, each dealing with a particular state of being.

Dated colophon (f. 12r): completed by ʿAbd al-Khāliq in Shāhjahānābād, 3 Ṣafar 1147/5 July 1734.

Occasional annotations and corrections in margins.
