Untitled treatise dealing with the interpretation and lexicography of certain difficult traditions or aḥādīs̲ associated with the Prophet Muḥammad from the Naqshbandī perspective, by the author ʿAlī ibn Abū Saʿīd Gīlānī.
The work was written for Navvāb Rūḥ Allāh Khān, courtier to the Timurid or Mughal Emperor ʿĀlamgīr I.
The work is divided into four maqām. Defective at end.
Not dated at end.
Latter half of manuscript is disfigured by substantive losses to the text block.
Annotations in margins.
Small and rough shikastah āmīz, with awkward naskh for Arabic passages.
Stamped foliation, with intermittent Persian foliation.
Lacks original binding.
Dust wrapper sheet of Oriental paper.
Condition fragile.
