Fragment from a larger collection of private and offical letters by the statesman and scholar in the reign of the Timurid or Mughal Emperor ʿĀlamgīr I (d. 1707), Shams al-Dawlah Luṭf Allāh Khān Bahādur Mutahavvar Jang called "Ṣādiq-i Nīknām" (d. 18 Shaʿbān 1114 / 1703), son of Emperor Shāh Jahān I's prominent prime minister, Jumlat al-Mulk ʿAllamī Saʿd Allāh Khān Chinyūtī Lāhawrī (d. 1656)
