The author begins by describing how he listened to the whole of the Ramayan from a certain Paramhans Anīm Ānand and was inspired to write a summary translation in Persian. This was completed in two weeks and checked by the Paramhans
The purpose of the text is for the contemplation of the sālikān-i īn ṭarīq or followers of this path
