Edict or farmān with the seal of Fatḥ ʿAlī Shāh (dated 1217/1802) and invocation, addressesed to Gore Ouseley, the English ambassador, noting the submission of his petition and the need for another treaty; also mentions the appointment of the courtier, Mīrzā Abū al-Ḥasan Khān, travel companion of Ouseley, to the task of receiving the armoury or qūr'khānah, gunnery or tūp'khānah, and magazine or bārūṭ'khānah, etc., an honour previously denied; expects Ouseley to conduct himself with utmost diligence with frequent petitions as reports
