Portion from a collection on the history of the Deccan named after the famous eighteenth-century Haidarabadi salonnière, courtesan, and ward of the prime minisiter (Navvāb Rukn al-Dawlah), Māh Liqā Bāʾī "Chandā", born Chandā Bāʾī, written at the request of a certain Mr King or Kinnock Ṣāḥib Bahādur

Organised into a muqaddimah, 14 lamiʿāt, concluding with a khāṭimah, this volume consists of only the ninth bāb of the ninth lamiʿah, on the subject of the twenty first ṣūbah of the Deccan, Muḥammad'ābād Bīdar

The work begins with a list of contents (ff. 1r-8r)

Dated colophon (f. 214r): completed by Muḥammad Ṣamṣām al-Dīn, 2 Rabīʿ I 1197/5 Febrary 1785. However, this may be the name of the scibe and date of the original manuscript from which the text has been copied, as the manuscript itself appears to be later in date
