Title: Risālah dar ṭibbTitle: رساله در طبAn elementary handbook of medicine in Persian, lacking fhe initial folio, by ‘Alī ibn Ḥasan al-Liyā[FNKH?]istānī who was also the copyist.
The contents are as follows:
Muqaddimah. Definition of medicine and its branches: 12 (?) aṣl (end of 12th lost in lacuna).
Maqālah 1. Principles of treatment (?) (beginning of qawl 1 lost in lacuna): 4 qawl.
Maqālah 2. Health maintenance and hygiene: 4 qawl (according to contents outline). Either this entire maqālah is missing or else the author departed from the plan delineated at the beginning of the manuscript, so that the Muqaddimah became Maqālah 1 and was in fact followed by Maqālah 2.
Maqālah 3. Maintenance of general bodily health: 21 qā‘idah.
Maqālah 4. Health maintenance of specific parts of the body: 28 z̤ābiṭ.
Maqālah 5. Maintenance of health of the animal spirit and the heart: 4 bāb.
Khātimah. Compounds and foods essential to health: 29 faṣl.
