Contents
Summary of Contents: A collection of six works by Mīr Ḥusaynī-i Sādāt-i Haravī (d. ca. 729/1338). Although his writings have been little studied and he is best known as the writer whose questions inspired the composition of Maḥmūd Shabistarī’s great metaphysical poem Gulshan-i rāz, Mīr Ḥusaynī ranks among the more influential Persian Sufi authors of the 8th/14th century. Followed by (f. 106v), a poem in Ottoman Turkish, evidently in the riq‘ah hand of its author (li-katibih al-faqīr), commemorating the completion of a new house, and with the date 1191/1777-8 recorded in abjad.1. ff 1v-5rAuthor: Mīr Ḥusaynī Haravī, Ḥusayn ibn ʻĀlim, 1272 or 1273-approximately 1317 مير حسينى هروى، حسين بن عالمTitle: Panj ganjTitle: پنج گنجFive qaṣīdahs on mystical and metaphysical themes.
Munzavī in FNKhF IV, pp. 2678-9 lists only three manuscripts of this work, all from the 9th/15th century, in Tehran, Paris and Cairo.

The manuscript contains three contemporary miniature paintings, illustrating passages from Ṭarab al-majālis, on folios 30v, 32v, and 36r; these are of reasonably good quality but appear to have been needlessly retouched with brown paint, rather to their detriment.
