Sharh-i Hada’iq al-fava’id al-samadiyah
Contents
1 copy of Sharḥ-i Hadā’iq al-favā’id al-ṣamadīyah by Ṣādiq al-Ḥusaynī
Title: Sharḥ-i Hadā’iq al-favā’id al-ṣamadīyahTitle: شرح حدائق الفوائد الصمدیهCommentary in Persian on a treatise in Arabic, by the Iranian scholar and poet Bahā’ al-Dīn al-‘Āmilī, on Arabic grammar. The author of the commentary is Ṣādiq al-Ḥusaynī of Tabriz. The wording of the colophon shows Ṣādiq al-Ḥusaynī to have been a Shī‘ī extremely hostile to Sunnīs.
The present manuscript is possibly unique. A different commentary in Persian, entitled Sharḥ al-Favā’id al-Ṣamadīyah or Sharḥ al-Samadīyah, was composed in 1266/1850 by Mīrzā Muḥammad Tankābunī for his son Mīrzā Sulaymān: see Aḥmad Munzavī, FNKhF III, p. 2065 (only one manuscript, in Tehran University Library). For al-‘Āmilī (d. 1030/1620 or the following year) see E. Kohlberg, ‘Bahā’-al-Dīn ‘Āmelī’, EIr III, pp. 429-30, and references there given.
Only folios 1r-10r contain full marginal text.
This is the autograph manuscript.
Colophon, f. 218r-v. Completed at Tabrīz, on a Friday in Rabī‘ al-avval 1123/April-May 1711.
