The file comprises:
1. Two bars of SATB score (ink) in the hand of composer David Matthews, written as the conclusion to 'Echo's Lament for Narcissus' by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The conclusion was commissioned by the Vaughan Williams Estate to complete the original score which lacked an ending. For the original score, see Add MS 57270, ff. 41-42v.
2. Two autograph postcards from David Matthews to Kathryn Knight of the publishers Faber & Faber (19 June and 27 September 2007), clarifying the notes of the tenor part prior to publication of the complete score.
3. Typed letter (5 July 2007) from Hugh Cobbe (of The Vaughan Williams Estate) to Nicolas Bell (Curator, British Library) providing the context of the commission.
