Summary of Contents: Miscellaneous collection of Arabic prayers and Persian treatises on their properties. Volume note dated. Datable from mid to late eighteenth century. Rough nastaʿlīq and naskh. Annotations in margins. Lacking foliation. Lacking original binding. Binding damaged (combed marble paper with brown leather edging over pasteboards), labels. Untitled collection of Arabic prayers recited in Shīʿī mortuary prayers, with Persian notes explaining variants to the prayer formula for minors, daughters, or wives.

Untitled Arabic litany comprising a thousand-and-one divine names, divided into smaller sections termed dah nāmah followed by a few words on related properties, apparently transmitted from the Prophet Muḥammadthrough Imām Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī.
The prayer combines many phraseological elements common to the famous prayers Duʿāʾ Mujīrand Duʿāʾ Jawshan al-Kabīr.

In a cramped note given in the margin at the beginning, the transmitter of this prayer is stated as Shaykh Jān Allāh (?), who transmitted it to ʿAṭāʾ Allāh known as Shaykh Jān Muḥammad [and the late] Shaykh Mīrānjī Ṣiddīqī Qādirī.

The prayer is followed by miscellaneous notes on vaẓāʾif or remembrances and the arbaʿīn of the early prophets Mūsá, ʿĪsá, and Dāʾūd.

Arabic prayer apparently extracted from the Kīmiyā-yi saʿādat, the renowned and early compendium on religious and ethical obligations, rituals, and mystical thought by the great Ghaznavid theologian writing from the Shāfiʿī perspective of Sunnī Islam, the ‘Ḥujjat al-Islām’ Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Ghazzālī al-Ṭūsī(d. 1111).
According to a concluding statement, the prayer was revealed to the Prophet Muḥammadby the Archangel Jibrāʾīl or Gabriel, and that it has fifty special properties.
The work is followed by further notes on virtuous actions and recitations.
