Language(s): Persian and ArabicFragment of an untitled commentary on the Mas̲navī-'i maʿnavī of Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Balkhī takhalluṣ Rūmī by ʿAlī ʿAskarī ibn Muḥammad Taqī ibn Muḥammad Qāsim ʿAskarī Khvāfī takhalluṣ Rāzī entitled ʿĀqil Khān ʿĀlamgīr Shāhī (d. 1108/1696), which critiques the earlier scholarly corpus of commentaries by Shaykh ʿAbd al-Laṭīf ʿAbbāsī Gujarātī, argued to be characterised with a difficult style and omissions in analysis.
Defective at the beginning.
Dated colophon (f. 31v): completed Monday 16 Shavvāl in RY 47 of Emperor ʿĀlamgīr [I] (1117)/31 January 1706.
