Language(s): Persian and ArabicTitle: Shavāhid al-nabūvat li-taqvīyat al-yaqīn ahl al-futūvahTitle: شواهد النّبوّة لتقويّة اليقين اهل الفتوّهIslamic history dealing with historical and traditional evidence for the prophecy of Muḥammad, by the Naqshbandī Sufi and saint, Nūr al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Hiravī Jāmī (d. 989/1492).
The treatise was completed after the Nafaḥāt al-uns, in 885/1480.
The work comprises of a preface, muqaddimah, seven rukn, concluding with a khātimah.
Dated colophon (f. 343r): completed 5 Jumādá al-S̲ānī RY 27 [Emperor ʿĀlamgīr I], 1094/1 June 1683.
Scribal nastaʿlīq tending to shikastah āmīz on papers tinted pale brown (turning cream after f. 171); occasional use of naskh for Arabic text.
Stamped foliation.
Binding damaged (combed marbled paper over delaminating pasteboards, edged with brown leather, exposed inner matter); labels.
Folios unbound; wormholes, cropped, distinct water stains along upper edge, later repairs.
Condition fragile.
