Persian mystical and normative fables based on the Kalīlah va Dimnah tradition reworked in refined prose and poetry by Kamāl a-Dīn Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī al-Vāʿiẓ Kāshifī, written at the suggestion of the minister Amīr Niẓām al-Dīn Shaykh Aḥmad entitled Suhaylī, and dedicated to Sulṭān Ḥusayn Bāyqarā, Timurid ruler of Herat.

The work is divided into fourteen chapters termed bāb.

Dated colophon (f. 302v): completed by Ghulām Murtaz̤á known as Munnūn ibn Muḥammad ʿAbd [Allāh] ibn Mawlavī Allāhdād, resident of Shāhābād Khāṣṣ in muḥallah Mutahannidān (?), Friday, 20 Z̲ī Ḥijjah 1215/4 May 1801.
