The manuscript is missing some folios between ff68 and 70 and between ff75-6. Manuscript is bound the wrong way round. Book I begins on f85v. The final sixteen folios of text do not agree with any other manuscripts.
The manuscript has twelve seals on f0v and f1r, most of which are wholly or partially illegible or effaced.

RSPA 1-118 were presented to the Royal Society in January 1792 by Sir William and Lady Jones. This manuscript was presented by Lady Jones.
The Royal Society's collection of 280 Persian and Arabic, and 86 Sanskrit manuscripts were transferred to the India Office Library in 1876.
