- This manuscript contains the first 30 discourses of Gregory Nazanzianus translated into Syriac by Jacob Bishop of Edessa. This copy was made by Philozenaios in the Monastery of Mar Mathaios near Aleppo (?) in the year 1045 AG (733 CE). The text is written in estrangela script on vellum in black ink, with occasional catchwords in red. A large grid of letters is found on f 87v and appears to be extraneous to the text. The item was purchasedin 1838 from the Coptic Monastery of Suriani on the Natron Lakes in western Egypt by Robert Curzon. The manuscript was brought from Edessa (Urfa, Türkiye) to Egypt by Moses, Abbot of S. Maria Theotocos, in 923 CE.
