Custodial history: This manuscript has been preserved in the Nagar temple which is situated 18km from Point Pedro as the collector mentioned. These have been preserved by his paternal line. The manuscript was in the custody of his grandfather from 1924 to 1933. Then it was in the custody of his father, Sathasiva Valipuranathar, from 1933-1988. From 1988 until today, the manuscript was under the custody of Pathmanathan. He is both a priest and a manager. The owner estimated the age of the manuscript at 300 years.
