Custodial history: The manuscript is under the custody of Kandaswamy Shanmugam from Vandaroomoola, Batticaloa. He is a retired principal. These manuscripts were written during the 18th and 19th centuries. The manuscripts were obtained through his mother. He got these manuscripts from his mother's father, Vinasithambi Veerakutty of Batticaloa Thetathivi. The set of manuscripts contain Medicine, Witchcraft and Astrology. For the past 49 years, he has been protecting the said manuscripts. From the age of 13, he studied medicine, witchcraft and astrology under the guidance of Ganapathi Kathamuthu, the husband of his father's last sister. He also said that he will hand over these to his son after him.
