Custodial history: Kandavanam, located in Point Peddro, is the manuscript of Polikandi temple. It was under the protection of Dickam Chelliyapillai during the period from 1907 to 1951, Under the protection of Yogendran from 1952 to 1989, it is now under the protection of Ramanathan Sivayoganayake. Puranas and horoscopes of 63 Nayanmars are written in these manuscripts. It is said that all these s have manuscriptbeen preserved since the 18th century.
