Custodial history: The manuscript collection contains the imprints of Sivasubramaniam Manikappodi, a healer from Amplantura, Batticaloa. In this collection of his there are eleven like Vmanuscriptagadas, Siddha Medicine, Mantra, Medicine, Vidhi of Serpent etc. He inherited these manuscripts through his father. Similarly, he learned maru from his father in the 1980s. His father is known to have excelled in the fields of magic and medicine. Only the area where their family lived in Amplanturai is called Little Malayalam. He said that this name is still being used. He is one of the few who have government permission to practice Ayurvedic medicine in Batticaloa today. He said that after him, whoever would properly study and benefit from his wisdom under his guidance, he would entrust his treasures to him. Even now he has some disciples.
