Custodial history: According to the owner of this collection , these manuscripts are protected through his father. All these vestments are preserved in the Gnaniyar temple located in the middle of Arali. They came from a lineage of sages. Siddhar lived and died in Gnaniyar temple. His body is buried inside the temple. It is a mausoleum. These manuscripts are written by Siddha. It is protected by Dr.Kandanjaniyar Ilangogjaniyar and his brothers. This temple is a Siva Thalam, 63 Nayanar Puranas, Tiruchendur Panchapuranam, Thiruvadavurradigal Puranam etc. are written on these walls. The owner has said that these manuscripts may be around 300 years old.
