(1). ff. 1-5. Letter from Elgar to Ignace Paderewski, dated 29 August 1915 and concerning permission to use a musical quotation from Paderewski's Fantasie Polonaise in Elgar's Polonia. Also includes a typed transcription (f. 3), description from a sale catalogue (f. 4) and an invoice from H. Baron, dated 7 July 1983 (f. 5).
(2). f. 6. Note from Elgar, concerning a dedication. Dated 21 June 1905.
(3). ff. 7-8. Two postcards to 'Miss Wrightson', from 'L. L.'. Postmarked September 1906. One postcard carries an image of Edward Elgar.
(4). ff. 9-18. Typed letter from the Silver Burdett Company to John Morrison, dated 1980. Enclosing photocopies of contracts and other papers relating to the original publication of three songs composed by Elgar for The Progressive Music Series: 'The Merry-go-round', 'The Brook' and 'Windlass Song'.

- For Crown of India at the Coliseum, 11 March 1912
- For a performance by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Leeds Choral Union, conducted by Elgar and featuring Clara Butt, of The Dream of Gerontius together with 'To women' and 'For the fallen' from The Spirit of England. May 1916.
- For a performance by the British Women's Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Malcolm Sargent and including Albert Sammons in Elgar's Violin Concerto. 31 March 1930
- Elgar Memorial Concert, 3 June 1934.
- For a performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Choral Society, conducted by Malcolm Sargent, of Elgar's Violin Concerto and The Dream of Gerontius. 2 March 1938.
