This volume contains an Arabic translation of the Gospels, according to the so-called Alexandrian Vulgate. The introduction is by Simʿān ibn Kalīl, (ca. 1150–1240 CE) structured according to the seven isagogic questions.

Colophons can be found on the following folios: on f 43v, we read that the copy of Matthew was finished on 7 Kiyāhk in the year 997 Anno Martyrum/679 AH (10 December 1280 CE) in Damascus in the Coptic Egyptian church from what was transmitted by the Metropolitan (muṭrān) Anba Akhristāṭalū (Christodoulos), the Metropolitan of Dumyāṭ, known as Ibn al-Dahīrī; on f 67r, it is written that Mark was finished on 10 Kiyāhk in the year 997 Anno Martyrum/679 AH (13 December 1280 CE); on f 109r, that Luke was finished on 20 Kiyāhk in the year 997 Anno Martyrum /679 AH (23 December 1280 CE) in Damascus; and on f 140v that John was finished on 28 Kiyāhk the year 997 Anno Martyrum /679 AH (31 December 1280 CE) from a copy by Anba Akhristāṭalū who was active during the time of Patriarch Cyril Laqlaq (all colophons transcribed in Cureton and Rieu, Catalogus, 10–11).
