A collection of letters of eminent 19th- and 20th-century musicians compiled by the composer and organist Archibald Martin Henderson (1879–1957). Most of the letters are addressed to Henderson himself, but are interspersed with others acquired by him from elsewhere. Henderson arranged the resulting collection into alphabetical order, often providing a typed transcription and a biographical note (sometimes along with personal reminiscences).
Many of the correspondents are organists or church musicians, or have connections to Scottish music, or both.
