- A short treatise on the observance of religious duties of women. by Saiyid Ghulam Ahmad.
The work is written in the Dakhani dialect beginning with a poem in praise of God.
حمد و ثنا ثابت ھی خاص خدا کتین
غیر اوسکا خدائی کے لایی کوئی تین
آسمان کون قدرت سے کیا ھی حق پیدا
پانی اوپر زمین کون حکمت سین او قرش کیا
The author gives no account of himself. The work was written during the reign of Tipu Sultan of Mysore (A.D. 1782 - 1799), who is eulogised in a Ghazal in the prologue. The author states that is it is unlawful to marry, or even to partake of food and drink, with a Muslim woman is not acquainted with the prescribes rules regarding prayer, fasting, and the purificatory rites connected with menstruation and childbirth. He divides the two parts (qism); the first dealing with the principles of belief and the second with the religious observances of prayer, fasting and ablutions.
