The work is divided into a Muqaddamah, five babs, and a khatimah, subdivided into fasls. The contents are: Muqaddamah. The principles of Islamic belief, fol. 3b. Bab 1. Rules regarding ceremonial ablution and purification, fol. 15b. 2. Prayers, the observance of the 'Ids, and funeral ceremonies, fol. 31b. 3. Fasting, fol. 83b. 4. Almsgiving, fol. 89b. 5. Pilgrimages, fol. 95b. Khatimah. Cautions against heretical teachings, fol. 97b.
The author states in the preface that the work was read out to Maulana Muhammad Ishaq, grandson of Shah 'Abd al-'Aziz (who died A.H. 1239, i.e. A.D. 1824), and that he approved of it, and made sundry corrections. Several additions are written on the margin.
An index to the Babs and Fasls from fol. 42 to the end is prefixed. It is stated in a note at the bottom of the page that it was made by Muhammad Amin al-Din for Miyan Ilahi Bakhsh, and is dated 21 Shawwal, 1247 (A.D. 1832).
