Catherine Delano Smith, a Nottingham University academic until she took early retirement in 1990, has been Editor of Imago Mundi since 1993. In that year she was asked to assist Eila Campbell during her last illness with the completion of volume 45 (1993), signing herself 'Acting Co-Editor'. (She had already been published in Imago Mundi, and had also acted as a referee.) In November 1993 she was formally appointed Joint Editor for volume 46 (1994) and sole Editor from volume 47 (1995). In the event Eila Campbell died on 12 July 1994, and Catherine Delano Smith produced volumes 45 and 46 more or less single-handed. Any papers of Eila Campbell for 1993 or 1994 have been treated for cataloguing purposes as part of Catherine Delano Smith's papers.
Her filing is very tidy. Papers about each issue have normally been kept together, arranged by author. From c2005 there is an increasing number of floppy disks and compact disks (CDs).
Catherine Delano Smith quickly agreed with Tony Campbell, Chairman of Imago Mundi Limited from November 1993, that she would publish Imago Mundi, and he would organise the international conferences. Eila Campbell had previously done both.
