A petition from the Bab-i Niyabet (?) of the Sharᵓiya Court of Baghdad regarding the lack of an appropriate salary (maaş) paid to him (?) from the month of Şubat 1303 (February 1887) to the present. The claimant requests a firman authorizing the payment of such a salary in the present month.
The claimant is listed as Mudir-i Maktab-i Saleh. His handwritten title is found above a 1 Kuruş stamp (brown) and a seal bearing the name el-Seyyit Abdülvehap. The petition is dated 14 Temmuz 1307 / 20 Zilhicce 1308 (27 July 1891).
Folio 1v contains a several notices of receipt dated 15 Temmuz 1307, 22 Temmuz 1307 and 1 Ağustos 1307. Underneath these is a note that the claimant's salary in Şubat 1303 was 700 Kuruş, which the Kaziye-yi mal (?) paid on 17 Temmuz 1307. A request to have this recorded in the official records is dated 22 Temmuz 1307 and sealed by the Muhasebe of the Vilayet of Baghdad.
