This collection holds Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição da Pavuna, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It contains slave, freed (forro), and free baptismal records dating from 1846 to 1851.
Custodial history: The volume was produced by the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição da Pavuna. In accordance with local norms and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
